BUFFING TECHNIQUE

The objective of the buffing is to make a rough surface into a smooth one as well to increase resistance to dirt. Buffing increase surface density, quickly cleans and removes scuff marks while polishing floor to a high gloss. It is the reflection that makes the buffed part appear shiny. Increased surface density allows much easier and less expensive cleaning because the absorption of water and cleaning agents is reduced.

NOTE:It is good to know that there is no real connection between shine and slipperiness. A dull floor could very well be unsafe and slippery, whereas a beautiful "wet look" shine on a floor could have a very high resistance to slipping.

BLUE BUFFING

If your floor is not badly soiled but has lost most of original shine,blue buffing may be the right solution to restore it.

SPRAY BUFFING

Spray buffing is a technique used to maintain the floor's appearance and cleanliness without having to wet scrub or wet strip. It is used to keep a newly stripped and waxed floor shiny and removes most scratches and it is also used to bring up an older floor that has not been striped and waxed for quite a while.

Spray buffing is done with a buffing machine, buffing pad and a special solution spray. Spray buffing picks up "dead" finish and dirt, replacing it with a spray buff solution and at the same time it also levels and fills scratches.

By using spray buffing procedure, the floor's attractive appearance can be maintained for longer periods of time without having to strip the floor and reapply finish.
